Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) is a vibrant multidisciplinary technical society of the IEEE. Encompassing various disciplines such as computing, data modelling and analytics, pattern recognition, digital signal and image processing, the IEEE GRSS “deals with the theory, methods, and techniques for remote sensing of the earth, oceans, atmosphere, and space. as well as the processing, interpretation and dissemination of this information”.
The GRSS Kerala Chapter was inaugurated by Prof. Alejandro C Frery, Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Brazil, former President, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society on 16 October 2019 in the presence of Dr V K Dadhwal, Director, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, and Dr. Avik Bhattacharya, IIT-Bombay and Editor-in-Chief, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters.
