Tinker Hub Foundation in collaboration with IEEE SB TKMCE, IEEE WIE KERALA SECTION, and IEEE WIE AG TKMCE organized a women’s only hackathon named Tink-Her-Hack 2.0 on 9th March 2024 to 10th March 2024. This unique event offered a platform for both newcomers and seasoned tech enthusiasts to collaborate, learn, and showcase their skills in a supportive environment. Tinker Hub already provided certain sets of problem statements from which the participants can choose one to work. They can also work on a topic outside the given problem statements. The event began with an inaugural address by Dr. Bijuna Kunju, Vice Chair of IEEE Kerala Section.
Three mentors were provided for guiding and mentoring the participants as well as to evaluate their work by Tinker Hub. Two-mile stone checks were present during the 20-hour hackathon and participants submitted their work by 11 am on 10/03/24 through the Tinker Hub website.
Tink-Her-Hack concluded by showcasing the websites created by each team followed by a photo session. The hackathon not only showcased women’s talent and creativity in technology but also served as a catalyst for meaningful change and empowerment within the industry. As participants departed with new skills, connections, and memories, Tink-Her-Hack left a lasting impact on the participants and the broader tech community, reaffirming the importance of diversity, inclusion, and female representation in technology.
